Please allow me to introduce myself to you. I am Amy Gartner, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I believe that I bring hope and humor, energy and enthusiasm to my work with individuals, families and groups. I provide opportunities for healing and growth through individual counseling, educational workshops and group therapy.
I completed my Masters Degree in Clinical Social Work at the University of Kentucky and have been working as a therapist in private practice for more than 30 years. I am also a seasoned trainer and group facilitator. My undergraduate degree is from Miami University in Business and Human Resource Management. I started my career in the corporate world in Human Resources as a Corporate Management Trainer, specializing in how to motivate and support the people that work for us, in order to build productive healthy teams. My professional experience also includes: working as a therapist in the psychiatric unit of a hospital, teaching and counseling in an eating disorder recovery center, helping high school students manage their social and emotional health as a high school social worker. I have been very active in supporting families as they grieve losses from death, divorce and illness. I strongly believe that personal growth requires the development of meaningful connections and a willingness to heal through honesty, courage and acceptance. I would love the opportunity to work with you on your journey to wholeness.
